Current Trends and Future Directions for English in Higher Education:
Widening Horizons for Teachers, Students, and Graduates

The first H-INET Spring Conference is being hosted by the Division of Foreign Languages at Tel Aviv University and will bring together teachers of English as a Foreign Language from institutions of higher education both in Israel and abroad. The conference aims to foster the development of professional networks based on common interests, open up research opportunities, advance expertise and update knowledge in our field. We invite educators, scholars, and practitioners to collaborate and share pedagogical theories, innovative teaching ideas and classroom practices developed in and for a variety of EFL contexts.

Conference themes:

  • Innovations in technology for language learning and teaching
  • EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction)
  • Promoting communication skills in EAP
  • Issues/innovations in assessment
  • Issues/innovations in language classroom pedagogy

Call for papers: We invite proposals for presentations from teachers an researchers in the field of EFL/EAP in higher education. Presentations will be limited to 20 minutes.
